The training

The training enables vocational trainers to coach and support mature employees in regard to vocational education and training (VET) mea- sures. Vocational trainers are an ob- vious choice for the job of a VET- coach, because they already have lots of experience in dealing with people who go through learning experiences. The training of the VET-coach consists of a seminar phase of 40 hours and a coaching phase of 6 – 8 weeks. In the coaching phase, the coach himself is coached by his trainer to help him with his first steps of coaching activity.

 

 

While the seminar phase consists of a seminar-style training (as it‘s name suggests), the coaching phase takes place in the enter- prise itself and mainly consists of short coaching sessions to review and evaluate the first steps of the newly trained coach. The whole training ends with a project day, on which the experiences of the coaching phase are reflected and evaluated with the participants. For the test stage of the PERFECT 50+ concept, we offer enterprises that would like to benefit from the programme the possibility to send employees for training free of charge.
